What's Ripple Effect Got to Do with It?
The answer to this question is at the very heart of why we do what we do.
We’ve all seen it: a single drop of water hits a calm pond and creates a tiny ripple. That first, small circle doesn’t just appear and then stop. It spreads outwards, growing bigger and bigger, gently transforming the entirety of the surface. That’s exactly how we see therapy.
When people first think about making a change, it can feel overwhelming, like they have to fix everything all at once. Here’s the secret: you don’t.
You just have to be willing to start with one small change. It might be noticing a pattern, learning to set one gentle boundary, or choosing to be a little kinder to yourself today. That is your first ripple.
And that’s when the magic happens. That single, positive shift starts to spread. It ripples outwards. It changes how you feel about yourself, how you interact with the people in your life, how you approach your work, and how you move through the world.
Our job isn’t to throw a boulder into your pond. Our job is to help you create that first, intentional ripple. We believe in the profound power of small beginnings to create authentic, lasting change in your life.
It all starts with a ripple.
Our Beginnings
Ripple Effect Mental Health was born from a simple, powerful idea.
As a queer-owned practice, we know from personal experience that everyone deserves a space where they can be fully seen, supported, and celebrated for who they truly are.
This isn’t just a belief we hold for our clients; it’s the cornerstone of our entire practice.
Our vision was to build a therapy practice rooted in the wellbeing of our therapists. We believe that a therapist who is supported, resourced, and celebrated for who they are is far more equipped to provide the exceptional and affirming care our clients deserve.
We opened our doors in 2024 to turn this vision into reality. Today, we are an actively growing team with a shared purpose: to celebrate the power of human connection and to actively resist the harmful systems that stand in the way of wellbeing for everyone, our clients and our team alike.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide trauma-informed and affirming mental health care to individuals, families, and relationships, with a focus on supporting marginalized communities in a compassionate, person-centered, and systemic way.
Our Values
