Ripple Effect Mental Health

Rates and Insurance

Ripple Effect Mental Health is currently in-network with the following insurance companies:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • HealthPartners

We highly recommend contacting your insurance company and confirming that Ripple Effect Mental Health LLC or your chosen provider is in-network with your particular plan. Not every provider is necessarily in-network with every plan due to various restrictions dictated by insurance companies.

We bill insurance on your behalf and will provide assistance in helping you receive the benefits to which you are entitled. Final responsibility for full payment, however, lies with you, not your insurance company.

If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may have some coverage for sessions even if Ripple Effect Mental Health is not contracted with that company. You would be responsible for paying us directly and then we can provide you with a document to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Our full rates (out-of-pocket) are as follows:

Intake Sessions: $225

Individual Sessions – 55 minutes: $200

Relational (Couples / Family) Sessions – 55 minutes: $200

Extended 80-minute sessions are available on a case-by-case basis as determined by you and your provider at a proportionally increased rate.

Some providers offer reduced rate or sliding scale spots for income-qualified clients. Contact us directly for more information.

We offer 20-minute phone consultations for prospective clients at no cost.

No-shows and late cancelations (48 hours or less from the time of the appointment) are subject to a $50 fee. We try to make reasonable accommodations or exceptions for illnesses and emergencies and will enforce our cancelation fee policy as deemed appropriate.

Payment Details

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, FSA/HSA cards, cash, and checks.

If using a card, we typically bill balances on a weekly basis. If paying with cash, please plan on providing the exact amount owed as we do not always have change on hand. If writing a check, please indicate the client and date of service in the memo section.

For clients using insurance, we will collect payment for copays, coinsurance, or whatever portion for which you are responsible on the day of service. After your appointment, we will submit a claim to your insurance company. The processing time for insurance varies greatly (typically between 5 – 90 days). Insurance may process multiple claims at a time with no notice. After a claim has been processed, we will collect appropriate payment for any remaining balance.
